Pokeno Saturday 15th April


On Saturday morning we headed off for Auckland and James and Julia's place so that Ian and Kristy could get organised for the flight back to the USA on Sunday

We stopped at Pokeno for lunch where Kai decided to move the furniture round


... while we all ate our lunch - except Dad who had to watch what was going on.

We're all going on a Treasure Hunt - Friday 14th April

Lunch at Otorohanga Friday 14th April

Waitomo Caves visit Friday 14th April


On Friday morning, the weather had improved to sunny and warm after Cyclone Cook, so we all went of down to the Waitomo Caves

Ian's 40th Birthday Party Thursday April 13th


On Thursday afternoon Ian and Kristy and family went to visit his long-time friends Dirk & Leanne Carmichael at 31 Graham Street Hamilton East

After that we all went to Hayes Common Restaurant nearby for Ian's birthday celebartion with all his old mates.

Otorohanga Kiwi House April 12th Wednesday morning


Later on Wednesday morning we decided to all go down to the Otorohanga Kiwi House to watch the Kiwis being fed and then have a wander round all the other birds that they have there.

This all had to be done before Cyclone Cook's influence started to be felt.
